Elusive Satiety

Elusive Satiety

Floating through a fog
Reality has become
Fuzzy around the edges
I hunger for so many things
And no matter how much
I indulge in my cravings
Satiety eludes me

I have a tendency to trade one hunger for another. It's a recurring theme in one of my favorite series: Laurel K. Hamilton's Anita Blake novels. I have noticed that a lot of times, the hunger that gets indulged/used as a substitute most is my hunger for food. I have been trying to adjust that and the weight loss that I have been hoping for has been proceeding; slowly, but still proceeding.
Fuck, I want a cigarette!
