Month of Haiku!
I had been talking to various people, lately, about my writing and why I haven’t been all that prolific. Stress can really dampen my ability to create with words, or more specifically, it can hinder my ability to create what I *want* to create. When I am stressed, my brain goes to places that are better left unshared (except in certain forums, which this is not).
However, lately, I have been feeling more and more like writing. So, I have been working on keeping a journal since the beginning of the year, to dubious effect. However, poetry has also been coming out.
Now, thus far, I have been sharing older poetry. I have been writing some new stuff, which is in the red-penning stage, and have decided that I am really digging the feeling of writing prose again, and I plan to write a lot more.
On Facebook (also called FaceCrack), I have seen people do these little serial posts, mainly with photos, documenting things about themselves and what they love. Instead of photos (though I may do something like that as I get going), I was thinking about possibly doing poetry, perhaps in a form.
I love Haiku. I find them easy, yet challenging to write. They are light, fresh, and get my brain juices flowing in a creative way. I am debating whether or not I want to do a month’s worth of Haiku. One each day. If I do something like that, then should I have daily topics?
Please, comment and give me some ideas!

I like the idea of May being Haiku month. What a fine challenge. Also it would be goo discipline for your writing. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes out of it.
Probably about a year ago, my friend Zack challenged himself to make all his Facebook status' for a month hiakus. Something to consider?
@mom(linda): That was my thinking as well, the discipline thing.
@Evistarshine(mellie): I may also do that for the month of May.. or at least try to.
See, one of the reasons I was thinking of doing it for this blog is that I will then be posting every day (and hopefully more than once, so it's not just an endless string of Haiku). It will get me into the habit of posting, and a niche of time will be carved out for it every day.
So, not only will I be getting into the habit of writing again, but I will also be getting into the habit of *posting* some of the writing.
I have an addictive personality... I want to cultivate less self-destructive addictions...
Hey, I think I just came up with a topic for one of my blog posts. ;)
